When I first starting working in the City (back in the dark ages), I remember one of the directors predicting a time when all documents would be held on computers. And this vision has been partially realised….
Looking around my office, I still have files with paperwork, I still receive mail, flyers and brochures and I still use business cards. So, on International Print Day I am celebrating those printers who have been central to my social enterprise, particularly Gail Carmen of MacPro Design and Print Ltd who has been efficiently working behind the scenes to produce the latest products in the Fiesta range – our brand-new planners.
The idea behind International Print Day is to spread the word about how valuable print still is, despite the never-ending pace of digital communications. You never know there may well be a backlash and a return to simple paper and ink.
